Michael Lutz
Executive Director
A lifelong Copper Country native, Mike Lutz’s roots run deep in the community. Growing up north of Calumet, he has always maintained a strong connection to the people and communities of the Keweenaw.
After graduating from Michigan Technological University, Mike began a healthcare career that has spanned nearly four decades. He started as an Emergency Medical Technician in 1987, where he developed a passion for helping others and providing compassionate care. He later transitioned into medical equipment sales, building more than 20 years of experience and developing a strong understanding of healthcare, business, and customer service.
In 2016, Mike joined Omega House as Executive Director. Since then, he has focused on strengthening the organization, expanding its services, and ensuring Omega House continues to provide exceptional, compassionate end-of-life care to residents and their families.
Mike is passionate about Omega House and its role in the community, and he is committed to ensuring that this unique resource remains available to those who need it for generations to come.
Outside of Omega House, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Sue. The couple lives in Houghton and enjoys golfing throughout the summer and snowmobiling during the winter months.
